This Sunday, June 4th, Garden City Tennis Association, local high school coaches, Peak pro staff, and other community volunteers are helping to do a Tennis Festival to raise funds for Missoula’s outdoor tennis court construction for Playfair Park and Fort Missoula.

What is a Tennis Festival? It is a fun filled FREE junior and adult formatted clinic and play six hour marathon. The schedule is as follows:

2-3:30pm – High School World Team Tennis Shootout – all 5 local high schools will compete in a round robin team competition

3:30 – 5pm – Junior Clinic & Games on 12 courts – All juniors not involved in the High School Shootout can come to this

5pm – BBQ and Beverages for Juniors – GCTA Sponsored

5-8PM – 12 courts of adults clinics and games with a rotation of courts every 15 mins. Local coaches and pros will lead drills and games on 12 courts.

8pm – BBQ and Adult Beverages – GCTA Sponsored

The event is free and we hope you can stop by with your racquet, join in on the fun, support the cause and socialize afterwards with the BBQ. Hope to see you Sunday from 2-8pm. If weather does intervene the club will be used as a backup and things will be moved to the PEAK.

Why are we doing this?

Without outdoor courts here in town that are playable, grassroots tennis, leagues matches, high school seasons, USTA tournaments, and GCTA events can’t happen. The future of these activities and events is up for grabs so, whatever you can do, it is much appreciated and we hope you can help.
